We were thrilled to host the Royal Life Saving WA Junior Lifeguard Club State Competition on Saturday 14 June 2025 at Vic Park Aqualife. Over 70 young lifesavers from 10 swim schools across Perth came together for a brilliant afternoon full of racing, camaraderie and lifesaving challenges.
Participants tackled a range of demanding pool events – from the classic 50 m obstacle swim and manikin carry to relay favourites like the rescue tube and rope throw relays – all designed to test rescue, accident-prevention and emergency-care skills that could one day save lives.
It was fantastic seeing our Aqualife squad rise to the occasion, not just with individual podium finishes but also with a strong overall contribution to the team standings. Congratulations to every one of our swimmers. Your hard work really paid off!
Feedback from clubs, parents and visitors has been overwhelmingly positive about both the event and our Aqualife venue. Our thanks go to Royal Life Saving WA for the opportunity, to all swim schools for bringing such enthusiasm, and a special shout-out to the kids for putting their lifesaving training into action. We’ve already had plenty asking when next year’s competition is, so watch this space!
