Aqualife Parking Changes

Parking at the Somerset Street car park (on the north-eastern side of the Aqualife centre) has changed. Read the FAQ below to ensure you are up to date on the parking rules.

How long can I park at Aqualife?

Under the new rules, you can park for up to two hours at a time in the Somerset Street car park (on the north-eastern side of the centre). Parking in the overflow section (on the south-western side of the centre) is unlimited.

Is it still free to park at Aqualife?

Yes, parking at Aqualife is still free, but patrons using the Somerset Street car park (on the north-eastern side of the centre) have to register their vehicles using their license plate number. A new parking machine is being installed for this purpose.

Why have the rules changed?

Surveys show that most Aqualife users stay for less than two hours; those who park for three hours are frequently using other facilities or leaving their cars and travelling elsewhere. Capping stays at two hours will ensure that Aqualife users can always find a park when they need it, and those who need to park for longer can use the overflow parking.

Can I use my phone to register?

Yes - at this stage you can register for free parking using the provided meter or the EasyPark app. We're hoping to add other registration methods soon.

Where else can I park?

There is plenty of street parking available - check the map below for other parking locations.
